About Me

I am an active Wilton Method Instructor at Michael's in Federal Way and Tukwila, WA. I created this blog to showcase my students' work, during and after their classes with me. It's a wonderful medium to share and exchange ideas expressed in cakes. Please feel free to share the pictures with your friends and relatives. We would love to receive your comments about these wonderful creations. Enjoy! If you have any questions, send me an email to: sweetnessinseattle@yahoo.com

The Great American Bake Sale

I mentioned the Great American Bake Sale in my email to you.
Here is the link to our website

http://join.strength.org/site/TR/CEM/General?team_id=104013&pg=team&fr_id=1110

Our team is called the "Greater South King County Bake Team."

I will update you on our final dates, what else we will need to push this project through. In the meantime, we have a $200 donation goal and with the help of everyone in our team, I think we can get there. If not, we will continue to hold bake sales until we reach, if not exceed.

You're part of this team, right? Get ready for some fun time.
Thank you so much in advance for being part of the GSKC Bake Team.

Cake Projects

Check out the following cakes done outside class.

There is one cake that one of my students made ("teasefully" done) for a bachelorette party which is strictly for adults' eyes only. It's hilarious and a great idea for those who want to do something more daring. Unfortunately, much as I would love to share, and believe me, I've searched for a way to screen it but can't figure out how to, I can't post here.

This is a fast-pace class because it involves making several flowers in gumpaste and is a 4-day, 2-hours each session. Please let me know if you are interested to take this class.

Lots of fun classes in the coming months. Keep checking this blog for further announcements. If there are other classes you are interested in, please email me so I can check for you.

Happy cake decorating everyone!

***In this batch, there is one cake that was made specifically for a person with "corn-related" allergies. As we all know, our ingredients call for corn starch, corn syrup, etc. Therefore, the ingredients have to be modified to use special ingredients. She was very resourceful. Can you tell which one? The process of decorating the cake remains the same. So have fun decorating!
